Every break-up has a break and an up. Whoever walks away hurt is the former, and whoever initiated or describes the split as "mutual" is likely the latter. This book is for all the breaks out there. My compilation of poems acknowledges the complexity of what we, the breaks, go through after a break-up. It illustrates the web of competing emotions we find ourselves caught in during this intense healing period. We're ensnared by debilitating sorrow, fiery anger, vengeful disgust, bittersweet nostalgia, gentle optimism, and many other emotions - sometimes, all simultaneously. By recognizing what you're going through and untangling your emotional web, you'll gradually free yourself to move on with your life.
