When Nathan and Anna Marshall, a wealthy Floridian couple, drive off an open drawbridge in their new luxury sedan, it is at first considered an accident. Further investigation reveals that the car's brakes were intentionally tampered with. Since Rebecca Wilson, the Marshalls' foster daughter, was apparently the only person in residence, she is immediately charged with murder. Enter court-appointed police detective turned attorney, Lloyd Rosen, who soon learns that three other suspects were on the estate premises within hours of the fatal crash. Also enter the beautiful Pamela Marshall, daughter and assumed inheritor of the estate. Other members of the cast include the Marshalls' odd and errant son, Byron; the avaricious and clueless Douglas Marshall, Nathan's brother, and a mystery man, Daniel Shapiro, who has the Marshall girls in mind for something known only to himself.
